Shonda Sue to hold gospel concert at Comfort Zone
INDIANAPOLIS-Country and gospel recording artist Shonda Sue will be featured in a special gospel concert at The Comfort Zone Coffeehouse Wednesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. and there is no cover though a love offering is requested. The coffeehouse is located at 116 West Main Street in Plainfield.

The teenage singer is looking forward to the change of pace and genre as the date draws near. Her performances throughout the year typically tend to lean toward the country music side, which is what most fairs and festivals seem to prefer, says her business manager Craig Moore.
"I have some new gospel material to perform and I am looking forward to sharing it with music lovers who attend the concert," Shonda Sue says.

Shonda Sue began her music career at age eight when she recorded her first country album, "I Love to Sing." This album was followed at age 10 by a gospel recording called "Sweet, Sweet Land." In 2001, at the age of 13, Shonda Sue released her third album, a Nashville project called "Girl Thang." The latest album features five originals the teenager chose from more than 300 selections along with five cover tunes.

"I love to sing," Shonda Sue says. "I enjoy watching people's faces when they hear me sing,
especially children."

It is Shonda Sue's dream to share her God-given gift for singing with music lovers around the world.

"I have had to make some sacrifices, but it is worth it," she says. "I am doing what I love."
In order to focus on her singing career, Shonda Sue's parents offered her the opportunity to enroll in a home school program, which would offer more flexibility for practicing and performing.

Shonda Sue also performs at weddings and private as well as corporate events. She has sung the National Anthem for the Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Indians and was requested to sing the anthem at the inaugural game for Indiana's WNBA team, the Indiana Fever, when Trisha Yearwood was unable to attend.
